SCFD
Since 1989, Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD) has distributed funds from a 1/10 of 1% sales and use tax to cultural facilities throughout the seven-county Denver metropolitan area. The funds support cultural facilities whose primary purpose is to enlighten and entertain the public through the production, presentation, exhibition, advancement and preservation of art, music, theatre, dance, zoology, botany, natural history and cultural history.

Colorado Creative Industries
On July 1, 2010 Governor Ritter signed legislation establishing Colorado Creative Industries as a division of the Office of Economic Development and International Trade. Colorado Creative Industries combines the former Colorado Council on the Arts, the Office of Film, Television and Media and the Art in Public Places Program. Our new strategic plan will carry on our most effective programs and services, but it will also incorporate new approaches to support Colorado’s creative sector. The final plan will be ready this fall, but our mission and program priorities are coming into focus:
Mission: to promote, support and expand the creative industries to drive Colorado’s economy, grow jobs, and enhance our quality of life.

The Denver Center for the Performing Arts
The Denver Center for the Performing Arts is an exhilarating mix of Broadway shows, professional theatre, amateur- and graduate-level acting instruction, and dazzling venues.
PHAMALY appreciates the in-kind support provided by the generosity of DCPA, one of the largest performing arts organizations in the United States. The Space Theatre in the Helen Bonfils Theatre Complex has been our summer home since 1992.

The Pioneer Fund is a private family foundation established by Helen M. McLoraine, a pioneer who broke new ground for women by assuming leadership roles in the oil and gas business in the 1950s. Influenced by her mother, McLoraine established The Pioneer Fund to continue her lifelong support of projects and organizations that focus on medical research, education and social welfare. As a philanthropist, she also supported more than 50 amateur skaters along with The Pioneer Fund Board member and Olympic gold medalist Scott Hamilton.

About Westerra Credit Union:
In 1934, eight visionary leaders organized DPS Credit Union, a not-for-profit financial cooperative, owned and controlled by the members who use its services. Its purpose was to put the members first when offering financial services and treat them as valued owners. Today, the Credit Union remains focused on that same mission and purpose.
The Credit Union’s name was changed to Westerra Credit Union in 2006 to better reflect its growing and diverse membership. DPS Credit Union and Safeway Rocky Mountain Credit Union merged in 2005, followed by the merger of Gateway Credit Union in in 2006 and Jeffco Credit Union in 2009.

Aurora Fox Arts Center
The Aurora Fox Arts Center, a historic landmark located at 9900 East Colfax in the East End Arts District, is the city’s performing arts center. The Aurora Fox is a 245 seat performing arts facility, with attached rehearsal and scenery shop facilities. A former movie theatre that was built in 1946, the Aurora Fox was completely renovated and reopened in March of 1985 and currently serves as the home for the Aurora Fox Theatre Company, and the Aurora Fox Children’s Theatre Company.
