Once upon a time” there lived a young Prince, who had everything his heart desired, but was spoiled and selfish. Then one night, an old Beggar Woman requested shelter in the Prince’s castle in return for a single red rose and he turned the old woman away. As punishment, she transformed him into a hideous Beast and placed a powerful spell on the castle and all who lived there. When Maurice becomes lost in the woods on the way to a fair, he seeks shelter at the old castle, but the Beast takes him captive. Maurice’s daughter, Belle, must then give up her freedom to save his life. It is up to Belle to tame the unfortunate Beast and bring about his transformation back into a handsome prince.
