Urinetown Tickets onsale June 5!

Urinetown is a hilarious comedy, featuring satire of the corporate world, sight gags, parodies of musical theatre conventions in general and Les Misérables in particular, and jokes that poke fun at the show itself.

Urinetown debuted at the New York International Fringe Festival, was produced Off-Broadway and then moved to Broadway, opening at the Henry Miller Theatre on September 20, 2001 (its planned opening having been postponed after the September 11, 2001 attacks). It ran on Broadway through January 18, 2004, closing with a total of 25 previews and 965 performances.

In 2002, the musical was nominated for a whopping nine Tony Awards© winning three for Best Director, Best Original Score, and Best Book of a Musical.

The PHAMALY production of "Urinetown" opens at the Space Theatre in the Denver Performing Arts Complex July 27 through August 19, 2007

Performances of "Urinetown" run Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2:00 p.m. An additional performance will be held on Monday, August 13 at 7:30 p.m. The Sunday, August 5 performance will be audio-described for low-vision and blind patrons and sign language interpreted for deaf audience members. The Sunday, August 19 show will also be audio-described. There will be talk-backs with the cast following the performances on Friday, August 3, 10 and 17.

Join PHAMALY on Saturday, July 28 for Urine Good Company with PHAMALY V.I. Pee Night, a Unique Theatre Experience for Very Special Patrons. This special benefit performance includes One Priority Seating Ticket for the show, a pre-show reception, beginning at 6 p.m., with PHAMALY Board of Directors, Production Staff and Designers. Artistic Director, Steve Wilson will present a short introductory entitled .Not Too Much Exposition,. along with an opportunity to learn everything you ever wanted to know about Urinetown, but were afraid to ask.
